Who am I

My name is 🌸Segcolt🌸, because I don't really feel comfortable putting my real name on the internet, even in self hosted stuff.

What do I do

I used to play with geek stuff before, I liked to discover how electronic stuff worked and all that, and to also learn programming and enroll on a course called "nand2tetris" to learn about how to make my own hardware as well as get a better grasp on the concept of operational systems and compilers, the compiler that I made for the course is also available on one of my repositories.

Currently, I'm coursing computer science on an university in my country and mostly focus in competitive programming, regularly participating in programming contests, be it a local contest on my or another university still in my state, or an online one like codeforces or atcoder as well as making yearly attempts at ICPC.

I also take a lot of interest in selfhosting my own stuff, such as this forgejo instance to store and backup my projects. I self host everything I can basically, I just like to own my own hardware and data and like learning more about networks and how to mess with the operational system.

By the way, in case it's not extremely obvious, I'm also a brony. Don't judge me, I just think ponies are cute.

What is this place

As I said before, it's my selfhosted instance of forgejo.

I use it exclusively for myself and maybe other people that I meet on the university that might be interested in it and that might need to share or work together in a project. I also use it to backup other stuff as well, but those are kept private. After a long time in the course, I only had to use github once, and specifically because the professor insisted on everything being exactly the way that he wanted, but since then, I haven't really touched my account there and even if I were to do a real project, I would either use this or host it on codeberg or my own gitlab instance.

This also helps me being able to transfer stuff from my computer to others, like the university ones, pretty easily, and with no limit to what I can do with it.

Can I contact you?

Absolutely not. Obviously nothing personal, but another reason for why I'm using this is due to the low chance of someone actually finding this out, I have no problem with anyone seeing my personal projects that I leave public, but I don't really like talking to strangers.
